Fitness Fact: Where does your power come from? Although knees get the majority of attention for those who walk or run, it’s really the muscles around the hips and ankles that are the workhorses! From a North Carolina State University Study they found when you walk the power to propel your body comes from the following; 39% ankles, 17% knees and 44% hips. If you run; 47% ankles, 21% knees and 32% hips.
