Nutrition Fact: Fungus can help evict those bugs!

We have all looked for ways to get through the flu, and have used Vitamin C and Zinc as long time allies, but what about Beta-Glucan? Beta-Glucan is a natural carbohydrate found in the cell walls of yeast and mushrooms that can shorten your down time and cut those flu symptoms. A recent study published in the Journal of Nutrition reported 100 participants were supplemented with 250mg per day of Beta-Glucan or a placebo. The group receiving the actual Beta-Glucan had 18% fewer days of flu symptoms.
