Fitness Fact: Fight the burn with potatoes! Overindulging in potatoes may be a no-no if you’re trying to lose weight, but keep a few in the fridge in case sunburn strikes. The potato’s contains starchy compounds that will help take the sting out of sunburn by soothing the burn layer of skin called the epidermis layer. Simply cut a raw potato into slices and rub a piece on the effected sunburned areas. For server sunburns try grating a cold raw potato and apply it to burned area as a poultice.
